I am so excited for Winter Camp this weekend. Not only is Winter Camp a fun weekend of hanging out with really cool people, it is an awesome chance to get closer to God. There are so many distractions in the world around us that it makes it hard to hear God's voice. Just try, as you read this sentance, to pause for 10 seconds and listen to all the distractions...your Ipod, your Phone, your school work, facebook, parents, siblings, pets, chores...etc. There are so many things, even good things, that disctract us from God. Winter Camp is a time to escape the distractions and focus on GOD.

This Past Sunday 15 of our students decided to become a part of the SWAT Team- the student leadership team of FPC's middle school ministry. Our program goes into full effect Thursday 11/17 as the swat team does a little TNT ambush. Come to TNT and you'll see what we mean!

We are so excited about the launch of our SWAT Team through the FPC Middle School Ministry! 

As many of you know, we will be having our first SWAT Team event on Sunday, November 13th. There will be a brief student and parent meeting in the middle school room at Main Street from 12:30-1:00 PM, and then the SWAT Team members and a few of our adult leaders will head out to our SWAT Team Training Day from 1:00-8:00 PM. Lunch and Dinner will be provided for all participating students.

As a reminder, SWAT Team stands for Students With A Testimony. SWAT Team members will become the student leadership team of the Middle School Ministry and will be encouraged and expected to

• Pray for our middle school ministry
• Be a good example to friends and family
• Share your testimony
• Maintain at least a 2.5 GPA
• Reach out to new students
• Invite friends
• Participate and HAVE FUN!!!
